Market Rasen UK Racecourse Stakes & Newmarket Racecourse

In September 2022, people enjoyed some great races at Market Rasen UK and Newmarket race courses. Horse race enthusiasts witnessed great performances in both venues.

Market Rasen UK

Apart from Newmarket, Ed talked about two specific stakes at Market Rasen UK. On 24th September, the column writer also shone a light on DE BARLEY BASKET. The gelding had bolted up, giving the crowd a good show at Uttoxeter racecourse his last time out. Ed wrote that the performance helped show there’s still more for the nine-year-old, especially under Kielan Woods.

Still at Market Rasen UK, Ed had his eye on another race. He argued that an each-way wager on PIGSAH PIKE would be a good move. While the seven-year-old gelding had a lackluster run his last time out at Worcester, Ed Quigley believed he could quickly bounce back to his racing form. The Jamie Snowden-trained gelding has the potential and was expected to pay off for the each-way backers off his top weight. Pisgah Pike managed to have a good run, emerging third out of the twelve horses.

Newmarket

The first was the 2.25 pm race at Newmarket. The crowd-favourite, Meditate, was featured in the race. She was a sensation because of her performance throughout the season-for instance, her class act during the Newmarket Cheveley Stakes (2.25), where she managed to become the first runner-up. Only Tahiyra, a potential superstar, was too good to beat. Ed argued that she would be too good for the competition with a remarkable win in the Albany Stakes and under Ryan Moore, a three-time champion jockey.

The freelance journalist also discussed the 3:00 pm race at Newmarket. While the whole activity was interesting, he focused more on Zoology for the Middle Park Stakes. He argued that each way wager on Zoology would be a perfectly safe bet. This is because the two-year-old colt had won at a small racing event in the Great Yarmouth Racecourse earlier.

The Middle Park Stakes was filled with great performers, but Zoustar’s seemed ready to take them on based on the Yarmouth race. Unfortunately, ZOOLOGY fell short of expectations despite being ridden by Cieren Fallon. Another spectacular race that Ed was looking forward to was the Cambridgeshire Handicap. The race wasn’t guaranteed since it was difficult to analyze the potential outcome of the runners.

To beat the circumstances, he recommended that people took up each-way concessions and added that they should not be afraid of getting involved with multiple selections.
